The Dalmore releases 1995 vintage
The Dalmore distillery has released a 1995 vintage, exclusively available at retailer The Whisky Shop.
Named The Distillery Manager’s Exclusive, the single malt was selected by distillery manager Ian Mackay and his team.
The expression, which is priced at £84.99 and is limited to 1800 bottles, underwent maturation in Matusalem sherry and American white oak casks and has an ABV of 40%.
Dalmore distillery Manager, Ian Mackay said: "I’ve selected a whisky that has been matured in two of my favourite casks, Matusalem Sherry and American White oak.
“However with the balance of sherry wood outweighing the American White oak, it gives the whisky a rich orange and dark berry flavour, which is my own favourite style of Dalmore.”
Managing director of The Whisky Shop, Andrew Torrance, said: “The brand has gone from strength to strength over the last few years both in liquid supremacy and packaging excellence - in fact we have just named the Dalmore 12-year old as our best seller for 2011.”
