Luxardo pops its cherries

Published:  23 November, 2011

Cellar Trends has launched a jar of maraschino cherries marinated in sugar syrup and Luxardo Maraschino liqueur.

The cherries come from Luxardo’s orchards in northern Italy, and can be used in cocktails or simply eaten.

Luxardo brand manager Craig Chapman said: “Garnishes are a high-impact ingredient, and strong demand from bars has led to the launch of Luxardo Maraschino Cherries in the UK.

“The distinct maraschino flavour makes them stand out from other cocktail cherries available in the market. If you are making a premium cocktail, it deserves a premium garnish, so why use anything other than a maraschino cherry?”

A 360g jar retails for £7.95.
