Aldi lists 40 Year Old single malt

Published:  22 November, 2011

Aldi claims it is the first UK supermarket to sell a 40-year-old single malt Scotch whisky in its stores.

The discounter is releasing 3,000 bottles of Glenbridge 40 Year Old with a retail price of £49.99 from December 8.

The supermarket claimed that “whisky of this quality and age would usually sell for around £30”.

The whisky comes in a decanter in a gift box.
