Linton Park rebrands range for UK launch

Published:  26 October, 2011

South African winery Linton Park has rebranded its Louis Fourie 1699 range for the UK market, and will be launching it with new agent Chalié Richards next month.

The range includes a Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Merlot and Shiraz (rrp £8.99). All grapes are hand-harvested and the wines are made on the estate.

Louis Fourie is the name of the French Huguenot who was given the vineyard where the Linton Park winery now is by the governor of the Cape, Willem Van der Stel, in 1699.

Winemaker Hennie Huskisson said: “This range is true to our roots, they are New World wines with Old World style. The new packaging really emphasises our proud history and commitment to quality wine.”
