Adnams releases 'winter warming' liqueurs

Published:  06 October, 2011

English brewery and distillery, Adnams, has added the limited edition Sloe Gin and Winter Spiced Liqueur to its range of spirits and liqueurs.

The Suffolk-based distillery opened last November, distilling vodka and gin from its copper pot still.

The new line follows a Limoncello liqueur released in May this year, in time for the summer period.

Adnams Sloe Gin is available in 50cl bottles priced at £18.49, while Winter Spiced Liqueur comes in 35cl bottles with an RRP of £13.99.

Billed as “the perfect seasonal winter warmers”, the new liqueurs are available until Easter 2012.

John McCarthy, Adnams’ distiller, said: “We’ve used traditional methods to produce our own interpretations of these festive favourites. With the Sloe Gin, we have added sloes and almonds to Adnams Copper House Gin, which were left to mature together for two months.

“The Winter Spiced Liqueur has a rich, warming spice and subtle vanilla flavour, using a mix of pimenta berries, vanilla pods and sugar, left to soak in Adnams Copper House Barley Vodka.”
