New look and new blend for Faustino V Rioja
Faustino V Reserva has been given a facelift to coincide with a new blend for the Rioja brand.
The 2005 vintage will be the first to feature a Tempranillo and Mazuelo blend. UK supplier Cellar Trends said the result is “an even smoother and more harmonious modern style of wine with fruit-driven flavours”.
The new label has a “premium, clearer, modern look”, it added, and the frosted bottle retains the old master portrait of the composer Christoph Gluck.
Lisa Duckenfield, group marketing manager for wines at Cellar Trends, said: “The redesign for Faustino V increases its status as a leading branded premium Rioja and extends its appeal to a new, younger demographic.
“In the trade, a few initiatives this autumn will support this launch and communicate the change in the blend.”
