Fuller's releases new barrel-aged beer

Published:  11 August, 2011

Fuller’s has launched the third in its series of Brewer’s Reserve barrel-aged beers.

Brewer’s Reserve No 3 has spent 800 days maturing in old Auchentoshan whisky barrels.

Limited edition, numbered bottles are being sold through the Fuller’s brewery shop and online, priced £7.50.

The beer is in 50cl bottles and has a strength of 9% abv.

Head brewer John Keeling said: “We used a complex beer to begin with, and by ageing in the Auchentoshan whiskey barrels, we have added an extra dimension with a smoothness and texture unlike anything else out there.”
