Thatchers to sponsor summer concerts

Published:  16 May, 2011

Thatchers Cider is sponsor a series of summer evening concerts to raise awareness of its Katy Rosé premium cider.

The Somerset cider maker has joined up with MA Productions and IML Concerts to back picnic concerts to be held at stately homes and castles around the UK during between June and August.

They include the Great British Proms at Tring Park, Castle Howard and Warwick Castle; Queen Rock at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire; Mamma Mia, the Music of Abba, also at Tring Park; The Jackson Story at Warwick Castle; and Jools Holland & his R&B Orchestra at Sherborne Castle in Dorset and Powderham Castle in Exeter.

The brand is also backing Kew the Music, an annual, week-long series of open air concerts being held at Kew Gardens in London from July 6 to 11.

Thatchers managing director Martin Thatcher said: “These events give us a perfect opportunity to encourage consumers to find a place for Katy Rosé in their drinking repertoire, reinforcing it as a lighter alternative to wine, ideal for sharing, and specifically targeting females in the 25 to 44 age group.”
