Sancerre producer joins Free Run Wines line-up
Sancerre producer Fouassier has named Free Run Wines as its new UK partner, replacing PLB.
The company has a 50 hectare estate and as well as making its own domaine wines, works as a negociant for winemakers in Pouilly-Fumé, Menetou-Salon and Quincy.
Fouassier is in the process of switching to organic production and expects to be fully certified by the 2011 vintage.
The wines will be on show at Free Run Wines’ stand at the London wine fair.
Free Run Wines director Nick Bauer said: “Fouassier produce an impressive range of wines offering exceptional value for money at a range of price points. As we continue to grow our French portfolio, we have been looking for a supply partner in the Loire for some time – and we believe we’ve found a good fit with the team at Fouassier Père et Fils.”
