Published:  16 March, 2011

Documents relating to the proposed company voluntary arrangement for beleaguered wine chain Oddbins show it owes HM Revenue & Customs £8.6 million in duty, VAT and PAYE.

The documents, released by Deloitte, also detail trade creditors including Hatch Mansfield (owed £310,000), Viña Carta Vieja (£278,000) and Concha y Toro (£241,000).

Oddbins is asking creditors to accept 21p in the pound in in the CVA.

If the majority agree at a meeting on March 31, Baile is convinced the business has a future.

He told OLN: “We hope people will see through the process over the next few weeks – there is a very good, solid business here.”
