Suffolk-based Adnams has launched Spindrift in bottles, described by the brewer as “a refreshing beer perfect for summer”.
The beer was originally launched three years ago as a chilled and filtered speciality beer for premium pubs and style bars. It is a top fermented, light beer made from a blend of East Anglian malted barley, Boadicea and First Gold hops.
Named Spindrift because of Adnams’ coastal connection, the brewer said the lightness of the beer evokes refreshing images of spray blown up from the surface of the sea.
Fergus Fitzgerald, Adnams’ head brewer, said: “Spindrift is a light golden refreshing beer, perfect for sitting back and watching the world go by. The striking 33cl blue bottles will appeal to a wide audience and will hopefully attract those who are new to the category.”
Spindrift is available online at adnams.co.uk at £18.99 for 12x33cl bottles and can also be bought at Adnams’ Cellar & Kitchen stores in Southwold, Richmond-upon-Thames, Holkham, Woodbridge, Stamford, Harleston, Saffron Walden, Holt and Hadleigh.
