New wine merchant chain in Edinburgh

Published: 31st May 2010

Written by: OLN News Team

A former First Quench manager is hoping to establish an independent wine merchant chain in Edinburgh.

Andrew Lundy is opening the first Vino branches in Broughton Street and Grange Loan in the Scottish capital next week, and a third is scheduled to follow in Comiston Road.

Lundy, who worked for First Quench for eight years, managed two Wine Rack branches and was training to be an area manager at the time of the business’s collapse.

The new company will have eight staff initially and Lundy said he had hopes of further expansion.

The stores will sell a specialist range of Scottish beers and whiskies as well as wines from around the world.
